LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 15, 2018) — Friday, Nov. 16, is a big day for the University of Kentucky as it hosts prospective high school students at the "see blue." Friday open house, and incoming freshmen, readmitted and transfer students at the Spring 2019 "see blue." U orientation. The open house will take place at Gatton Student Center and the orientation will take place in Memorial Hall.
Hundreds of students and their families will be on campus and have been asked to park in the South Limestone Garage and the Gatton Student Center Lot.
If employees who typically park in the South Limestone Garage (PS #5) are unable to find spaces there, they are asked to park in other nearby employee parking lots. Alternative parking locations include the four lots located on Scott Street (Scott Street, Taylor/Dickey, Comers and Reynolds lots), as well as the Memorial Coliseum Lot and lots in the Linden Walk area.
Employees who park in other north campus lots should anticipate possible increases in demand for parking in their preferred area, familiarize themselves with alternative parking options and plan their commute accordingly.
