'21 Jump Street, ' 'Superbad' Screened at Worsham

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 22, 2012) — The Late Night Film Series will screen “21 Jump Street” at 10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, and “Superbad” at 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, in Worsham Theater. Admission is free to both films.

“21 Jump Street” is the story of Morton Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Greg Jenko (Channing Tatum), former classmates turned bumbling bicycle police partners. They spend their days cycling around and monitoring the city park. After a botched arrest, they are reassigned undercover to a local high school to penetrate a growing drug ring supplying high school students with a new synthetic drug. (109 min. Rated R)

“Superbad” stars Jonah Hill and Michael Cera as Seth and Evan, two inseparable best friends with big crushes, but no experience with women. Desperate to change things, they hatch a plan with their nerdy pal Fogell to buy alcohol with a fake ID. Their plan goes awry at every step, turning their quest for booze into a hilarious life-or-death adventure.  (113 min. Rated R)
