Art History Professor to Deliver Final Chellgren Seminar Series Lecture

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 5, 2014) — As the final lecture of the Fall 2014 Chellgren Seminar Series, University of Kentucky associate professor of art history Anna Brzyski will deliver a talk titled "Chinese Graffiti: Politics of Visual Culture in Contemporary China" at 7 p.m. tonight in the William T. Young Library Auditorium.

Brzyski teaches art history and visual studies courses in the UK College of Fine Arts. She works on Eastern European art and since 2008 has been associated with the Tsinghua University in Beijing. Her current research explores the problem of value and status of different types of artistic production within culture, art economy and art history.

The purpose of the Chellgren Seminar Series is to contribute to the intellectual aspects of the undergraduate experience by inviting eminent scholars to deliver brief, provocative presentations on issues that expand our thinking and imagination.
