Baseball Featured Twice in Thursday TV Schedule
LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The Kentucky baseball team will twice be featured as an SEC Thursday Night Game of the Week on the ESPN family of networks in 2016, it was announced.
Kentucky will host Arkansas in a Thursday-Friday-Saturday series, from April 21-23. UK will then travel to face Ole Miss in its final SEC road trip of the season, starting on Thursday, May 12 in Oxford, Miss.
The Wildcats have also announced an early season non-conference tournament - the Tony Gwynn Classic - in San Diego, from Feb. 26-28, the second week of the 2016 season. UK will open the Tony Gwynn Classic with UC Santa Barbara on Feb. 26.
In the midst of the fall practice season, UK is hosting three weekend scrimmages at Cliff Hagan Stadium this week, starting on Friday at 3 p.m., resuming on Saturday at 11 a.m. and concluding on Sunday at 12 p.m.
