Blue Man Group Roadtrip

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 23, 2012) — Need to get out of town?  Take a night off to see the infamous Blue Man Group live at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, at the Kentucky Center for the Arts in Louisville. Tickets can be purchased at the Student Center Ticket Office for $18 for students and $35 for faculty and staff. Tickets include entry as well as transportation and dinner.

The Blue Man Group combines comedy, music, and technology into one unique theatrical performance. The New York Times heralds the show as “One of the most delightful performance pieces ever staged.” More than 17 million people have already enjoyed the spectacular that is the Blue Man Group.

“We are giving students an opportunity to see something they wouldn’t normally see on campus,” said Shannon Ruhl, SAB director of cultural arts. “Students will be able to leave campus for an evening to experience a culturally diverse event, highlighting cultural landmarks of Kentucky.”

On the day of the event, performance-goers will meet a charter bus at 5 p.m. in the Student Center Bookstore parking lot and will return before 11:30 p.m. Tickets are limited — only 36 are available.

The Student Activities Board brings more than 100 entertaining, educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to the University of Kentucky annually. These programs are designed to enhance the college experience for students, faculty, staff and the greater Lexington community.
