College of Arts and Sciences' Podcast Features A&S Passport to the World Initiative

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 27, 2012) — The College of Arts and Sciences produces podcasts that demonstrate work being done by the faculty and students in the college. Each week, UKNow will highlight a podcast. This week focuses on the A&S Passport to the World initiative.

There are all sorts of rare materials in UK Libraries, including a huge collection of books and posters from the former Soviet Union. As the 2012-2013 academic school year's A&S Passport to the World initiative focuses on Russia and its neighbors, the collection will get extra exposure.

In this podcast, Gordon Hogg, director of the Special Collections Library, discusses this unique part of UK Libraries' holdings.
