Craft and Import Beer Festival at Boone Center on Sept. 5

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 29, 2012) — The Hilary J. Boone Center will host its Fourth Annual Craft and Imported Beer Festival on Wednesday, Sept. 5.

From 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., members and guests will be able to sample more than 30 beers from around the world as well as a gourmet spread by the Boone Center's award-winning Executive Chef Seth Russell. This year's menu features bourbon-brined chicken wings, bacon wrapped shrimp, mini oyster po-boys, Korean-style beef, and a Bell's double stout tiramisu. Live music will be provided by Bennie Mabson.

The cost to attend is $20 per person for Boone Center members and their families, $25 per person for non-members who pay in advance. Admission at the door will be $30. Tax and gratuity are not included.  All guests must be 21 or over.

The Hilary J. Boone Center at the University of Kentucky is one of Lexington's premiere meeting and dining facilities for UK alumni, faculty and staff, located at 500 Rose Street in the heart of campus. The center's elegant decor is ideal for meetings, banquets, cocktail parties, wedding receptions and other special events.

The Boone Center is open for lunch 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday through Friday for members and their guests. Regular business hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but the center is available outside of normal business hours for special events.
