The contest, sponsored by Ricoh USA, UK's contracted vendor for managed print services, in collaboration with the Media Depot @ The Hub, challenges students to create an original video centered on the theme, "see blue. print green." Currently enrolled, full-time students may submit entries (one submission per entrant) from now until 11:59 p.m. Friday, March 14.

Entries will be judged on the basis of their adherence to the theme, originality, impact, script, cinematography, editing, audio and overall presentation. A selection committee will choose four finalists, to be announced April 18. Each finalist will be awarded a 2014-15 scholarship to the University of Kentucky in the amount of $5,000, to be gifted through the scholarship office.
Videos may be up to three minutes long and must be published on a publicly viewable video-sharing site (such as YouTube, Vimeo, etc.). Entries must include the video URL and the entrant's email address, UKID number and Linkblue ID. Only one entrant may be listed per submission. Others may be involved in the making of the video. However, only the listed entrant will be awarded the scholarship for the submission. Signed releases will need to be obtained for all persons appearing in the video.
Ricoh will be granted a license to use submitted video content on its websites, and in advertising and presentations. Notification will be sent to each finalist at the email address supplied during submission. Acceptance of the award must be made in a response to the notification by 11:59 p.m. April 23.
