EVP for Health Affairs Leads Informal Chat

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 21, 2011) -- University of Kentucky Executive Vice President for Health Affairs Dr. Michael Karpf kicks off the spring 2011 series of informal conversations with university administrators hosted by the University Senate and the Staff Senate.

Dr. Karpf will make a brief opening statement and then open the floor to questions or comments from faculty, staff and students. This is an opportunity for members of UK’s community to talk with Dr. Karpf about a variety of issues in an informal setting.

“We hope that these chats with administrators can bring the University of Kentucky community together and aid in strengthening our common goals with respect to our educational mission,” said Hollie Swanson, Senate Council chair and professor in the Department of Molecular and Biomedical Pharmacology.

“The staff and university senates are working more closely this year by offering these informal chats with our administrators. Our hope is that we will become a more cohesive university with one goal to serve and educate the people of the Commonwealth through our land grant mission of teaching, research and outreach,” said Jann Burks, Staff Senate chair.
