'First Friday' Events Bring Faculty Together

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 4, 2014) — University of Kentucky faculty of all disciplines have an opportunity each month to gather informally, socialize and share ideas.  UK's Council of Endowed Professors and Chairs is once again sponsoring "First Friday," a monthly social event during the academic year.

The inaugural First Friday for 2014-15 will be held 4:30-6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, in the library of the Hilary J. Boone Center.  All faculty members are invited.

"First Fridays are intended to promote collegial interactions among UK faculty," said Phil Kraemer, Chellgren Endowed Chair for Undergraduate Excellence and professor of psychology who also serves as secretary for the Council of Endowed Professors and Chairs.

"We are especially hopeful to see new faculty take advantage of this opportunity to meet and converse with colleagues from across campus."
