LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 12, 2011) – Come celebrate as the halfway point of the semester draws near at the Cats Den and Late Night Film Series.

Return to the Cats Den Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 8 p.m. for the weekly tradition of Comedy Caravan featuring Kristin Key. After beginning her comedy career at the age of 19, Key has been traveling all over the country performing her laughable, rapid-fire style comedy that relates to her upbringing as the “preacher’s kid.” Since then, Key has been featured on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and “The Bob and Tom Show.”

Check out a free concert by Details Details at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, in the Cats Den. Seth Williams’ one-man band has been performing his sugary sweet ballads since releasing his first EP in 2009. With his catchy lyrics and musical beats, Williams has been compared to Owl City, Daft Punk and the Postal Service.  The concert will feature an opening by Ellie Herring and Elle Ven.

Starting off the film series is the Disney favorite “The Emperor’s New Groove” at 10 p.m.  Thursday, Oct. 13.  Then, at 10 p.m. Oct. 14, the hilarious Will Ferrell turns his lawn into the longest-running yard sale in “Everything Must Go.”  Ending the weekend is the International Film Series at 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, with the Indian film “Love Aaj Kal.”

The Late Night Film is held at 10 p.m. every Thursday and Friday in Worsham Theater. The International Film Series is held every other Sunday at 6 p.m. All Late Night and International Film Series movies are shown free of charge for students with free popcorn. The Late Night and International Film Series and their movies are sponsored by the Student Center Director’s Office.
