A Generous Gift
In the spirit of National Philanthropy Day, which was celebrated last week in Lexington, I would like to highlight a recent gift to the College.
Mary W. Hargreaves was an emeritus history professor in the College and retired in 2003. Her love for the university and the history department was symbolized through a trust she created which today we are proud to announce will be utilized for "the enhancement of the graduate program in the Department of History."
Professor Hargreaves passed away in August 2008, but her legacy will be everlasting as her foresight changes the lives of countless students.
