Have a 'Bash' for UK Sesquicentennial

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 23, 2015) – Have you ever wanted to dance on the floor of Rupp Arena? Lots of members of the Big Blue Nation do and here is your chance. Only one week remains to purchase tickets to the University of Kentucky's Blue Tie Bash, the culminating event of Founders Week, Feb. 19-27. The party is sure to cap off this week of festivities dedicated to celebrating the university's 150th anniversary with a bang.

The Blue Tie Bash celebration will be in full swing from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, at Rupp Arena. The party will feature live music by Burning Las Vegas, heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. Tickets for the event are $50 for general admission and $20 for students with a current UK ID. Individuals wanting to attend Blue Tie Bash are asked to register for the event online by Wednesday, Feb. 25, at www.ukalumni.net/BlueTieBash. No tickets will be sold at the door. Free valet parking will be available via Manchester Street. The Bash will not be accessible from the Lexington Convention Center.
