Hays Appointed to Executive Council of National Psychiatry Academy

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 27, 2013) -- The American Academy of Chairs of Departments of Psychiatry has appointed Dr. Lon  Hays, chair of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry, to its executive council.

Hays has been a member of the Academy since 2000.

"It is a great honor for me to be appointed to the AACDP Executive Council," Hays said. "I look forward to working closely with my chair colleagues from throughout the U.S. and Canada who represent some of the foremost thought leaders in the field."

The AACDP represents the leaders of departments of psychiatry in all of the medical schools in the United States and Canada. The group is committed to promoting excellence in psychiatric education, research and clinical care.
