Ho Hey UK: The Lumineers Headline Annual Fall Concert

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 30, 2013) — The Student Activities Board is proud to announce The Lumineers as the Fall Concert artist. They will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, in Memorial Coliseum.

Denver natives, The Lumineers were launched to fame with the release of their hit “Ho Hey.” Their self-titled debut album produced Americana anthems like “Stubborn Love” and “Flowers in Your Hair,” earning the band two Grammy Award nominations and the highest charting independent label album in the history of the charts. The Lumineers are currently touring Europe and the U.S. and recently released a deluxe edition of their album.

“The Lumineers bring a diverse sound and they’re super popular on campus,” said Adam Carrico, SAB director of concerts. “We’re both proud and excited to have such a successful band perform on campus.”

Special guest Nathaniel Rateliff will open the show. Tickets are now available to students with a valid UK ID for $15; general public sales begin on Wednesday, Sept. 4, for $30. Student tickets can be purchased in the Student Involvement Ticket Center, located at 253 Student Center. General public tickets can be purchased at both the Student Involvement Ticket Center and ticketmaster.com.
