International Studies Program About Event
This conference/workshop organized by the International Studies Program will take place at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, on February 22, 2013. Papers will discus theoretically and empirically patterns and dynamics of global racism; institutionalized racial orders; racist ideologies; the similarities and differences between cases and patterns, as well as forms of resistance to racism. Besides scholars working on racism in different regions of the world, the conference will include scholars working on Appalachia to analyze similarities and differences in patterns of marginalization and stereotyping.
