Nominations Sought for 2011-12 Honorary Doctorates

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 19, 2011) — Nominations are now being accepted for UK honorary doctorates.  An honorary doctorate is granted for the purpose of recognizing those persons who exemplify the ideals of the University of Kentucky through sustained achievement and distinction of national or international significance.

The University Joint Committee on Honorary Degrees solicits nominations for degrees to be awarded at the December 2011 or May 2012 Commencement exercises. Nominations and supporting information should be sent electronically as attachments to the Graduate School (email to Pat Whitlow at pat.whitlow@uky.edu) by Nov. 1. Please include a curriculum vita, resume or bio of the nominee.
