Pianist Natasha Paremski to Play Singletary With UK Orchestra
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 31, 2012) − Celebrated Russian-born pianist Natasha Paremski will perform in concert with the University of Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of John Nardolillo. The concert featuring the classical pianist will take the stage 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Singletary Center for the Arts.
Born in Moscow, Paremski began her piano studies at the age of 4 with Nina Malikova at the Andreyev School of Music. In 1995, she immigrated to the United States and became a U.S. citizen in 2001. She studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music before moving to New York to study with Pavlina Dokovska at Mannes College of Music. At the age of 15, Paremski debuted with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and recorded two discs on the Bel Air Music Label with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra. In September 2010, Natasha was awarded the Classical Recording Foundation's Young Artist of the Year.
Patrons attending the Natasha Paremski concert Feb. 11 will have the opportunity to sign up to be the first to purchase tickets to see pianist Lang Lang's 2013 concert with the UK Symphony Orchestra. The concert date and on-sale date for the Lang Lang concert are to be announced. Patrons who fill out an order form for Lang Lang tickets at the Paremski concert will be contacted first when the concert date is confirmed. Attendees will also be put in a drawing to receive four complimentary tickets to the Lang Lang performance.
Tickets for the Natasha Paremski and UK Symphony Orchestra concert are based on seating location and range from $45 to $25. Special rates are available for students and faculty/staff. Tickets for UK faculty/staff are $18 and for students are $10. A processing fee will be added upon completion of all transactions.
