LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 16, 2013) — We provide the supplies, you provide the creativity. The second Pinterest Party of the semester will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16,  in the Rasdall Gallery. This event, sponsored by the Student Activities Board Campus Life Committee, is free.

Pinterest crafting has become an increasingly popular trend among people of all ages, providing opportunities to create personal, handcrafted pieces of work. Pinterest parties give students an opportunity to relieve stress and make crafts to decorate their residence halls or apartments. This party will focus on Halloween crafts, including flameless candle holders and pumpkin painting, among others.

“This event is great for students who need a break from their hectic schedules and studying,” said Connor Giesselman, SAB director of campus life. “We have great crafts for Halloween, and we’re excited to give students an opportunity to use their creativity.”

The third Pinterest Party of the semester will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, in 308B Commons followed by a fourth party from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, in the Rasdall Gallery.

SAB brings more than 100 entertaining, educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to the University of Kentucky annually.
