Pinterest Party Takes On Pumpkin Painting
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 29, 2014) — Sponsored by the Campus Life Committee, the Student Activities Board gets into the Halloween spirit at the upcoming Pinterest Party with pumpkin painting. Stop by the Rasdall Gallery for free seasonal crafting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29. Tasty treats will be provided for those in attendance.
Pinterest is a social media website with pictures and ideas for DIY activities for anyone looking for a little inspiration. The SAB Pinterest Party allows for attendees to bring out their creative side while making some of the month’s most popular pins with friends. With no cost, there is no reason not to spread some Halloween excitement with fellow students while painting pumpkins this October.
"Join the Campus Life Committee this fall by wearing your vests and scarves to this month’s Pinterest Party," Abbey Tillman, SAB director of campus life, said. “We will be decorating pumpkins, painting Kentucky signs and more!”
The last Pinterest Party of the semester is Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 6 p.m. in the Rasdall Gallery. The party will be fall-themed and attendees can work on coasters, key holders, mason jar soap and creaseless hair ties.
SAB brings more than 100 entertaining educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to the University of Kentucky annually. These programs are designed to enhance the college experience for students, faculty, staff and the greater Lexington community.
