SAB Announces First Legacy Week at UK

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 16, 2013) – The Student Activities Board presents the first-ever Legacy Week this week, April 15-19. The week provides four events for students to wrap up the semester and leave their own legacy at UK.

Soundbites with Sundy Best begins the week’s events Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Worsham Theatre. Wednesday kicks off with the Ping Pong Ball Drop tradition at 11:52 a.m. at Patterson Office Tower Plaza, ending with the Candlelight Ceremony for seniors at 7 p.m. on the Main Building lawn. Thursday’s concert by Royal Teeth with Wild Party at 8 p.m. at Cosmic Charlie’s wraps up the week.

“Legacy Week provides an opportunity for students to enjoy themselves while also making memories at UK that will last a lifetime,” said Micaha Dean, SAB director of traditions. “These events are a great way for seniors to end their time here and a great way for other students to finish out the semester.”
