SAB Brings the Fun, You Bring the Knowledge

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 31, 2015) — University of Kentucky Student Activities Board’s Pop Culture Committee brings fun and excitement to the first full week of classes with a game show themed night 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, in Memorial Hall.

Students have a chance to win various prizes in two games throughout the night. Featuring Neon Entertainment, attendees will feel like they are on an actual game show. At 7 p.m., the Pop Culture Clash game tests a variety of pop culture knowledge. Following at 9 p.m., the Roommate Game will challenge how well students really know their roommates while revealing tips on ways to choose compatible roommates in the future.

“We are eager to bring such fun and culturally diverse events to campus,” said Mark Taylor, SAB director of pop culture. “We want students to remember that although we are here to learn, there is still fun to be had, and I believe this event shows that.”

SAB brings more than 60 entertaining, educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to the University of Kentucky annually. These programs are designed to enhance the college experience for students, faculty, staff, and the greater Lexington community.
