LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 3, 2010) – Be prepared to laugh out loud as The Second City comedy troupe performs their Fair and Unbalanced Tour at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, in Memorial Hall. This event is sponsored by the Student Activities Board (SAB).

The Second City is an improv sketch comedy troupe that has been performing for more than 50 years. With alumni including Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Jane Lynch, Stephen Colbert and Amy Poehler among others, The Second City has stood the test of time and continues to entertain audiences with its comedic talent. The New York Times has even called The Second City “a comedy empire.”

With locations in Chicago and Toronto, The Second City is also a premier comedy theater and school of improvisation. The Second City performed at last year’s Family Weekend to a packed house, so do not miss out on the chance to see them again this year.

“The Second City will be performing the first night of family weekend, so it’s the perfect event to attend with family and friends,” said Chelsea Melchor, director of SAB’s pop culture committee. “It’s also really funny ,and that’s why SAB brought The Second City back for a second year.”

Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for general public. They can be purchased at the Student Center Ticket Office, by phone at 859.257.TICS or at www.ticketmaster.com.
