Sophomores Take Center Stage With Week of Events

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 17, 2012) — Today kicks off SophoMORE Advantage Week, a week co-hosted by the Division of Student Affairs and the Office of Undergraduate Education that aims to encourage all students, but especially sophomores, to start taking advantage of all the opportunities offered to them now in order to stand out for the future.

From 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. today on the Student Center Patio, the Office of Student Involvement is hosting the annual Leadership Fair, the week’s first event. Student organizations, campus offices and community representatives will be available to help students learn more about how to get involved and be a leader on campus. In conjunction with the fair, a brief presentation called “Get Involved with Your Success” will be offered at noon, 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. in 106 Student Center.

In addition to the events listed below, many colleges and units are hosting sessions and open houses as part of SophoMORE Advantage Week. Please contact your college for more information about these events.
