Spring Break Parking and Transportation Changes

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 9, 2012) — During Spring Break, the campus population diminishes significantly, resulting in greatly reduced parking and transportation needs. University of Kentucky Parking and Transportation Services will make several changes during the break that include easing parking restrictions and reducing bus service.

In general, all residential (R) lots and all single use commuter (C) lots are off control from Saturday, March 10 through Sunday, March 18. All employee (E) lots will remain on control, including the combination E/C2, E/C3, E/C5, E/C7 and E/C8 lots.

The Medical Center and the Kentucky Clinic routes will continue to run their normal schedule, and one CATS bus will operate on the Summer/Break Route. Summer/Break Route service will operate from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., to accommodate those who remain on campus during break. All other CATS and Lextran campus bus service will cease during Spring Break.

The On-Demand CATS Bus will run on Sunday, March 18, with service beginning at 7 p.m. All other campus bus service will return to normal operations on Monday, March 19.
