Staff Senate Communication Survey Opens

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 1, 2013) — As part of its 10th anniversary celebration, the University of Kentucky Staff Senate is conducting a survey to gauge Staff Senate’s communication and engagement with the university community.

  

“The survey is being undertaken in an effort to better serve our staff, as well as the university as a whole,” said Jim Lindsay, chair of the Staff Senate PR and External Communications Committee.

The Staff Senate’s 10th anniversary celebration spans 10 months and includes service, education and social events, all geared to learning more about the Staff Senate and its senators. The mission of the Staff Senate, in accordance with Governing Regulation V, is to serve as the official representative body of the staff of the university. It strives to create stronger bonds within the staff and encourage cooperation among staff, faculty, students, administration, and the Board of Trustees for the benefit of the University. It also seeks to provide an opportunity for all staff members at the University of Kentucky to have an interactive role in defining and maintaining a workplace that encourages input from all staff in creating a harmonious environment, said Lindsay.
