The Student Activities Board Wants YOU!

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 1, 2011) – The Student Activities Board is looking for passionate students full of fresh ideas and a desire to transform the college experience for thousands of students by joining its Board of Directors.

SAB now has available positions for president, vice president of promotions, director of cultural arts and director of graphic design for the 2012-2013 school year.

Students who apply must be full-time students and maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA. SAB is searching for team player individuals who are looking to gain experience in leadership positions by providing the university with enriching events.

   

The Executive Team is accepting applications for president and vice president of promotions. The Executive Team is in charge of determining the direction of the organization and oversees its daily operations. These positions are some of the highest leadership positions available to students at the University of Kentucky. Each application for the Executive Team requires two letters of recommendation.

The programming director application available is for director of cultural arts. Programming directors are in charge of planning and executing university events alongside their committee chairs. This position provides a wonderful experience for any student looking to create diverse events and have experience in holding a leadership role on campus.

SAB is also looking for a director of graphic design. This position is a skills-based directorship and has the potential to provide internship credit and as well as building pieces that can be added to a professional portfolio.

    

No prior involvement in the organization is necessary to apply. Applications must be submitted to the Student Activities Board office, 204 Student Center, by 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7.
