LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 25, 2012) — Come enjoy the colorful and whimsical student artwork from students in the Art Education Program at the Student-Teacher-Student Exhibit on display 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Thursday, May 3, in the Rasdall Gallery. This event is free and is sponsored by the Student Activities Board.

Each year, the Student-Teacher-Student Exhibit receives outstanding praise from students, parents and faculty members. The student artwork showcased in the exhibit will range from elementary school students to high school students, and each piece will have a special artistic touch unique to each of the student artists. A reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 26, in the Rasdall Gallery. Refreshments will be provided.

“Seeing the work of students in the Lexington community will take students back to their childhood days,” said SAB Director of the Cultural Arts Committee Shannon Ruhl. “It’s also a neat opportunity for UK students to see what their fellow classmates experience through their work in the art education program.”

The Student Activities Board brings more than 100 entertaining, educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to the University of Kentucky annually. These programs are designed to enhance the college experience for students, faculty, staff and the greater Lexington community.
