TEDxUKY Tickets Now Available

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 6, 2015)  Tickets for TEDxUKY are now available at the University of Kentucky Student Involvement Ticket Office in Bowman’s Den for $1.  The conference will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, in the Marksbury Building with a reception to follow.

“We expect tickets to sell out fast for TEDxUKY," said Weston Loyd, director of promotions for the conference.  "Since there’s a limited number of tickets available, we encourage anyone interested in attending the conference to get them as soon as possible.”

There are also opportunities to win tickets to TEDxUKY.  If you’re passionate about TED talks, send your favorite TED talk to the TEDxUKY executive team and tell them why you like it so much.  Two winners will be selected to introduce the video at the conference and will be given a free TEDxUKY ticket and shirt.

Follow TEDxUKY on Twitter or like its Facebook page to stay up-to-date on the latest TEDxUKY news.

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to ideas worth spreading.  What started as a conference in California 26 years ago has grown to support those world-changing ideas with many initiatives.  TEDx, similarly, is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

For a chance to win one of two tickets for TEDxUKY, or for more information or questions, email Weston Loyd at Weston.loyd@uky.edu.
