Trivia Bowl Supports Parkinson's Research

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 19, 2011) — A trivia competition to be held Wednesday, Sept. 21, will offer the opportunity for participants to test their knowledge, win prizes and support the fight against Parkinson's disesase.

The 2011 Lexington Trivia Bowl, presented by Business Lexington, will raise funds to benefit the UK HealthCare Kentucky Neuroscience Institute and Parkinson's research at UK.

The Trivia Bowl will kick off at 8 p.m. Sept. 21, at The Cellar Bar and Grille (3256 Lansdowne Dr., Lexington). Plan to arrive a bit early to register and be in place before the first buzzer sounds.

The cost to register a team of five players is $60, or individuals may enter for $15. Sign up at the door, or register online.

Top teams will receive cash prizes. The winning team will receive the coveted Horseshoe Cup Trophy, and bragging rights as the best trivia players in Lexington. Every participant will receive a 2011 Lexington Trivia Bowl T-shirt. A free raffle will give away a gift basket worth $250.
