UK Appreciation Day Exhibit Registration Open

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 21, 2013) — The event traditionally known as University of Kentucky’s Staff Appreciation Day is now part of a daylong event called UK Appreciation Day, scheduled this year on Thursday, May 16, at Commonwealth Stadium. The event, featuring free food, exhibits, carnival rides, live music, door prizes, UK T-shirts and tours of the stadium suites, has been expanded to include staff, faculty and their families.

Exhibits will be displayed at Commonwealth Stadium’s concourse level 1-4 p.m. that day, and there will be a prize for the best exhibit. Last year, several exhibitors held drawings for big-ticket items, and organizers will allow the same type of generosity to be shown this year. Exhibitors who plan to offer a drawing at their exhibit table will be required to notify organizers upon registration.

To register an exhibit, visit http://www.uky.edu/staffsenate and complete the UK Appreciation Day “Exhibit Registration Form” on the main page. Confirmation correspondence will be made by the exhibit chair within one week with additional information about event day. The deadline to register is May 3, 2013, but registration will close when all 75 tables have been filled.

For detailed information, contact the exhibit chair, Natalie Pendleton, at natalie.pendleton@uky.edu.

UK Appreciation Day is sponsored by the Office of the President, coordinated by the Staff Senate and brought to you by the Appreciation Day Commission.
