The T.W. Lewis Scholarship Fund will provide up to 10 new scholarships in the amount of $5,000 per year for eligible Honors Program students. Up to five scholarships will be awarded to applicants from a 10-county region in Eastern Kentucky, including Breathitt, Clay, Floyd, Harlan, Jackson, Knott, Leslie, Letcher, Perry and Wolfe counties. Up to five scholarships will be awarded to applicants from Fayette County.

T.W. Lewis is a former member of the UK Capital Campaign Steering Committee, serving during the "Dream, Challenge, Succeed" campaign. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the university in 1971.
