Uncover a World of Treasures at White Elephant Rummage Sale
LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 15, 2013) − Love rummage sales and the hunt for bargains and discarded treasures? Then don't forget to check out the upcoming White Elephant Rummage Sale presented July 20 by the Art Museum at the University of Kentucky.
The museum event gives individuals an opportunity to purchase a varied selection of items donated by museum friends and members including art, books, bric-a-brac, CDs, DVDs, small furniture, household goods, jewelry, toys and vintage accessories, like hats, gloves and purses. Proceeds from the sale will benefit exhibitions and events presented by the museum.
The Art Museum at UK's White Elephant Rummage Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 20, in the President’s Room of the Singletary Center for the Arts. The event is free and open to the public, and free parking will be available in all UK lots. Treasure hunters can preview selected sale items on the museum’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/artmuseumuk.
Early bird admission is available to the sale at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 20, for $25. This admission includes Starbucks coffee and pastries.
