LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 16, 2012) ― A new financial model for the University of Kentucky is the topic of two upcoming informational forums on campus:
- 1:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, in Room 152 of the Bio-Pharmaceutical Complex
- 1-3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, in the Lexmark Room of the Main Building
Interim Provost Tim Tracy is overseeing UK's move to a value based financial model ― one where financial resources are aligned with the academic mission of the university; responsibility and authority are aligned with financial resources at the college and unit level.
At the forum, Tracy will answer questions and take suggestions about implementation of the new financial model. For those who cannot attend the meetings in person, they will be live streamed on UKNow. Also, questions can be emailed during the forum to FinancialModel@uky.edu or sent via Twitter using the handle @UKNewsroom. A few days following the forums, video of the sessions will be available for viewing on the Financial Model Impletmentation webiste at http://www.uky.edu/Provost/FinancialModel/index.htm.
"We want to hear ideas about implementing this model," Tracy said. "We are committed to listening and seeing this process through before any decisions are made."
