Published: Nov 4, 2010

LEXINGTON, Ky (Nov. 4, 2010) — The University Senate Council is sponsoring a series of town hall meetings to solicit faculty opinions regarding the most important qualities of the University of Kentucky’s next president.

“The Senate Council believes it would be best to have such input available as soon as possible,” said University Senate Council Chair Hollie I. Swanson.

The Senate Council has scheduled three town hall meetings for faculty to offer opinions on what UK needs in its next president.

The faculty's town hall meetings will be held at the following times/dates/locations:

  • Friday, Nov. 5 -- 9 -10:30 a.m. – MN 263 Willard Medical Education Building
  • Monday, Nov. 8 -- 1:30 - 3 p.m. – William T. Young Library, Auditorium
  • Tuesday, Nov. 9 -- 4 - 5:30 p.m. -- Center Theater, Student Center

Faculty members who are unable to attend any of the scheduled town hall meetings or who would like to offer written input may send their comments Sheila Brothers in the Office of the Senate Council at sbrothers@uky.edu. To have input as quickly as possible, e-mailed comments should be sent prior to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10.
