'Wolverine' and 'Kill Bill' Adventures at Worsham Theater

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 6, 2013) — The Late Night Film Series is screening “42” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, and will be followed that evening by “The Wolverine” at 10 p.m. The series is also screening “Kill Bill Vol. 1” at 7p.m. and “Kill Bill Vol. 2” at 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8. Admission to all films is free and shown in Worsham Theater.

Based on a true story, “42” follows Jackie Robinson, the first African-American baseball player in the Major League. Faced on all sides by racism, he must prove that he has what it takes to become a legend and shake of the prejudice that plagues the sport. (128 min. Rated PG-13).

After traveling to Japan, “The Wolverine” must face his ultimate nemesis. Fighting both external and internal forces, he is pushed to his physical limits.  Although unable to leave unscathed, he has a chance to rise more powerful than ever. (126 min. Rated PG-13).

In “Kill Bill Vol. 1,” a woman awakes from a four-year coma and immediately seeks revenge on the group of deadly assassins who murdered her husband at their wedding. Once a member of the squad responsible, she must defeat the five former comrades who ruined her life. (111 min. Rated R).

After killing the people responsible for murdering her husband and baby, “Kill Bill Vol. 2” sees The Bride turn her attention towards the only surviving members of her former assassin squad. Seeking revenge, she works towards the final confrontation with her previous boss and lover, Bill. (137 min. Rated R).

Worsham Theater is located on the first floor of the University of Kentucky Student Center Addition. Center Theater is located on the second floor of the Student Center.
