WRFL and Outside the Spotlight Host Improvised Jazz Group, Ballister

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 28, 2014) — WRFL 88.1 FM and Outside the Spotlight, a free jazz and experimental series, present Ballister at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 29, in the Niles Gallery of the UK Fine Arts Library. The event is free for students with a $5 suggested donation for the general public.

Ballister is a free-improv jazz trio that is at once energetic, electrifying, seductive, and a little bit noisy. With three other recordings already out, the trio celebrates their fourth release, "Both Ends" out on vinyl this month.

Other sponsors and supporters of this series include UK’s Student Center Director’s Office, the North Limestone Community Development Corporation, Bullhorn Creative, Kentucky for Kentucky, Gumbo Ya-Ya, and Tadoo.com.
