WUKY's Phoenix Fridays Return for Third Year

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 1, 2016) — WUKY's Phoenix Fridays are back for summer 2016. The series of free, outdoor concerts created by WUKY and produced by the Downtown Lexington Corporation, is scheduled for 5-9:30 p.m. the third Friday of each month from May through August in Phoenix Park at the corner of Main and Limestone in downtown Lexington.

WUKY's Phoenix Fridays 2016 will offer more outstanding live music from local and national bands this summer on these dates: May 20, June 17, July 15 and Aug. 19. Each night features three bands — a combination of local and nationally touring acts.

“The 2014 and 2015 Phoenix Fridays series was proof that Lexington not only loves great live music, they also want to come together in the heart of downtown, Phoenix Park," said Mike Graves, WUKY music director. "With each new series, expect more fantastic bands, great food and refreshments and the best of what Lexington has to offer — its people.”
