LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 12, 2017) A worldwide holiday tradition continues as the University of Kentucky’s Singletary Center for the Arts presents Moscow Ballet’s 25th annual “Great Russian Nutcracker.” The production will grace the Singletary stage 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18.

“The Great Russian Nutcracker” is a family holiday event with larger than life magical props, a 60-foot growing Christmas tree, Russian-made costumes and sets, and some of the world’s best dancers.

The Moscow Ballet made its North American debut of “The Great Russian Nutcracker” in 1993 with an all-star Russian cast directed and choreographed by Stanislav Vlasov, formerly of the Bolshoi Ballet. Moscow Ballet has been touring North America annually since then, and now visits over 75 cities each year performing an array of shows beyond the “Nutcracker,” such as “Swan Lake” and “Romeo and Juliet.”

Tickets for the production range from $28-68 based on location of seating. Platinum Tickets are also available for $175 as well as Gold Circle Tickets for $105. Platinum and Gold Circle Ticket buyers will receive a premium Nutcracker doll and a Moscow Ballet book with each ticket purchased. In addition, Platinum Ticket buyers will have a meet-and-greet opportunity before the performance which will bring purchasers back stage on a guided tour.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the Singletary Center ticket office at 859-257-4929, visiting online at www.scfatickets.com, or in person at the venue. Processing fees will be added to transaction upon purchase.
