Counseling Center Director Re-elected to National Board

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 1, 2017) Mary Chandler Bolin, director of the University of Kentucky Counseling Center, has been re-elected to a fourth term on the Board of Directors of the Association for University and College Counseling Center Directors (AUCCCD), the largest organization of campus mental health leaders in the world.

In this national position, Bolin has the vantage point of guiding campus mental health policy and initiatives at the highest levels. As part of her service to the AUCCCD board, she chairs its Strategic Planning Committee.

Bolin, who has been with the UK Counseling Center for 20 years, is a past president of the International Association of Counseling Services and continues as a national senior master trainer for QPR suicide prevention. For 15 years, she has served as the faculty advisor to the UK Gay-Straight Alliance and received the 2017 Ally for Fairness Award from Lexington Fairness, an advocacy and education organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights and fairness.
