UK HealthCare Opens New Kentucky Children's Hospital Lobby, NICU

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Apr. 16, 2018) – UK HealthCare will officially unveil the new Makenna Foundation Welcome Center and Betti Ruth Robinson Taylor Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Kentucky Children's Hospital in the UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital Pavilion A today at 10 a.m.

The new welcome center will house patient and visitor registration, the Simpson Family Theater, the Pediatric Health Education Center and a gift shop.

The new NICU will have 68 rooms, including two double rooms for twins, for a total of 70 beds. It will also include a family lounge, kitchen and shower and laundry facilities for parents of long-term guests.
