Tuska Center for Contemporary Art Is Wired

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 16, 2009)  -The public is invited to join the University of Kentucky Tuska Center for Contemporary Art's new interactive community by visiting the gallery online via their new blog, Facebook page and Twitter account.

The Tuska Center for Contemporary Art officially enters into the social media arena with the start of the new year's exhibition season, starting with "Figuration to Fragmentation: The Human Form in Contemporary Ceramic Sculpture," an exhibition focused on the use of the body in contemporary ceramics. The exhibit, held jointly with Morlan Gallery at Transylvania University, features a diverse selection of artists including Tanya Batura, Anne Drew Potter, Keith Wallace Smith and Liz Zacher.

The blog, Facebook page and Twitter account for the Tuska Center for Contemporary Art will further enable the gallery to connect with arts patrons across multi-platforms and allow them to listen to visitors, providing feedback in a moment’s notice.

The Tuska Center for Contemporary Art is a not-for-profit public exhibition venue dedicated to showing a broad range of contemporary art practices. The gallery, which is operated and funded by the UK Department of Art, brings regional and national artists to the university and the Central Kentucky community.
