B-52s to Bring Party to Singletary

 

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 18, 2011) − The B-52s, considered one of the world's greatest party bands, will bring the party to a University of Kentucky stage this August. Don't miss the chance to rock out with the popular band 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at the Singletary Center for the Arts.

Thirty years and more than 20 million albums into their career, the B-52s remain among the most beloved rock stars ever. From the timeless gems of "Rock Lobster," "Planet Claire" and "Private Idaho" to the more recent classics "Channel Z," "Love Shack" and "Roam," the B-52s' dance-rock tunes provide the soundtrack for a unique concert experience.

Tickets for the B-52s concert are based on seating location and range from $45 to $27. A processing fee will be added upon completion of transaction. A part of the UK College of Fine Arts, the Singletary Center for the Arts presents and hosts around 400 artistic, cultural and educational events annually for the university community, Lexington community and the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
