UK School of Music to Perform Series of Showcases at UK Chandler Hospital

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 17, 2018) — The University of Kentucky School of Music (SOM) Collaborative Performance Series features UK School of Music faculty and students in a variety of ensembles and instrumentations performing selections in the atrium lobby of UK's Chandler Hospital, Pavilion A. Performances begin at 1 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Monday, Oct. 1: Mia Quintana, Oboe, and Jacob Coleman, Piano, performing works by Dutilleux, Britten and Kalliwoda
  • Thursday, Oct.11: UK Viola Ensemble, performing a variety of music
  • Thursday, Oct. 25: UK Opera Previews Silent Night
  • Tuesday, Oct. 30: UK Bassoon Studio
  • Tuesday, Nov. 6: Dennis Bender, Voice and Piano
  • Thursday, Nov. 13: UK Graduate Flute Trio, performing varied music from the 19th and 20th centuries
  • Thursday, Dec. 6: UK Piano Students
  • Tuesday, Dec. 11: Kevin Holm-Hudson, piano, performing holiday music
