Ale and Food Tasting at Boone Center Aug. 26

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 15, 2011) — The Hilary J. Boone Center at The University of Kentucky will host its third annual International Ale and Food Tasting on Friday, Aug. 26.

From 5:30 to 8 p.m., members and guests will be able to sample over 50 beers from around the world and ale-inspired cuisine.  This year's menu features sushi, bourbon-brined wings and homemade pretzels. Live music will be provided by Bennie Mabson.

Cost to attend is $20 per person for Boone Center members and their families, $25 per person for non-members who pay in advance. Admission at the door will be $30. Tax and gratuity are not included.  All guests must be 21 or over.

The Hilary J. Boone Center at the University of Kentucky is Lexington's premiere meeting and dining facility for UK alumni, faculty and staff. Newly renovated and expanded, Boone Center is located at 510 Rose Street in the heart of campus. The center's elegant decor is ideal for meetings, banquets, cocktail parties, wedding receptions and other special events.

The Boone Center is open for lunch 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday through Friday for members and their guests. Regular business hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but the center is available outside of normal business hours for special events.
