Flu Shots Now Available on Campus
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 28, 2010) - Starting Sept 28., the University of Kentucky will offer influenza vaccinations to students and employees. University Health Services will conduct flu shot clinics at several locations across campus.
Flu shots will cost $10 for UK undergraduate and graduate students (must present student identification card), and $20 for faculty and staff. UK HealthCare employees may participate, but should check with their supervisors as they may qualify for free vaccinations to be provided at a later date.
The 2010 flu shot includes protection from the H1N1 influenza strain (also known as the "Swine Flu"), which is expected to make a comeback this season. Unlike last year, a separate H1N1 vaccine will not be necessary.
Flu shot payment is due at the time of service, and may be paid via cash or check. Scheduled times and locations for flu shots are listed below.
