Known Issues with Apple iOS 6.1 and Outlook Calendars
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 11, 2013) — University of Kentucky Information Technology (UKIT) recommends that Apple iPhone and iPad users hold off on upgrading their device to iOS 6.1. Users who have upgraded are experiencing syncing issues with their Outlook Calendar.
Users who have upgraded to iOS 6.1 currently have "read-only" access to their calendars on their mobile device, which means users will not be able to update or add new meetings from their iPhone or iPad during this time. Email will continue to flow as normal.
At this time, UKIT strongly advises users against upgrading to iOS 6.1, or any newer iOS (6.1.1). A temporary measure has been taken to prevent possible impact to other Exchange users. This temporary measure will be removed once the issue has been resolved by Apple and Microsoft.
UKIT will continue to post updates on the UKIT Facebook page and on Twitter (@UKITStatus), as well as on the Service Desk Help page.
