Register Right Away for Women's Forum Conference


LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 24, 2010) -
Monday, Sept. 27 is the last day to register for the 2010 University of Kentucky Women's Forum Conference, themed "Life @ UK: Live it, Love it". The conference is set for Sept. 30, 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., in the UK Student Center.
 

This conference is open to any UK employee, and is completely free of charge. All attendees will hear from keynote speaker Judy "J.J." Jackson, UK vice president for Institutional Diversity. During the rest of the day, participants will break into sessions devoted to topics including personal finance, self-defense, elder care, organizational skills, career development and nutrition.
 

Lunch will be provided to all participants, with mealtime entertainment provided by the "Dress for Success" fashion show. The conference will wrap up with a "Speed Networking" session designed to help attendees make useful contacts across campus.
 

Each conference participant will receive an insulated, reusable lunch tote, UK Women's Forum logo tumbler, and a gift bag of items donated by local organizations. Each session will feature drawings for exciting door prizes, and participants will be provided with a continental breakfast, deli buffet lunch and afternoon snack.
