Avoid parking on main streets this weekend, city offering free garage parking

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 23, 2026) — Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton today outlined the city’s preparations for this weekend’s winter storm, while also encouraging the community to help out by planning ahead. Downtown, LexPark will make it easier to stay off the streets by opening downtown garages to free parking, according to LexPark Executive Director Laura Boison.
