Community Invited to Share Todd Memories

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 11, 2011) - As the campus community celebrates the tenure of President and First Lady Todd, the entire UK family is invited to share their memories and well wishes with the first family.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the university are invited to visit this site to share their thoughts and well wishes with President Lee T. Todd Jr. and First Lady Patsy Todd. All of these notes will be compiled into a book that will be presented to the first family.

“President and First Lady Todd have been such an asset to this campus and they will be greatly missed,” Student Government President Ryan Smith said.

The campus community is also celebrating their tenure with an event beginning at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, at Patterson Office Tower Plaza. The celebration, similar to UK’s State of the University Address, will celebrate the more than 10 years of service that the first family has given to the university with an ice cream social and speakers as well as a special address from President Todd himself.

In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be moved to the Singletary Center for the Arts. For those who cannot attend, Wildcat Student Television will be live streaming the celebration. Visit www.uky.edu/uknow on April 12 to view the live stream.
